Refund, Return, Exchange & Limitation of Liability Policy
1. Our Commitment
At Ekam Krit, every saree and dress material is carefully curated and quality-checked before dispatch. Many of our products are handcrafted and handwoven, which may naturally include irregularities that are characteristic of artisanal products and should not be considered defects.
By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to the following policy.
2. No Return Policy
All sales are final.
We do not accept returns for:
Change of mind after purchase
Color variation due to screen/device display differences
Texture, weave, softness, drape or fabric expectations based on personal preference
Misunderstanding of material, weight or finish after delivery
Minor irregularities inherent to handloom, handmade or artisanal products
Incorrect ordering by customer
Sale, discounted, customized or made-to-order products
Slight variation in motifs, weave, shade or handcrafted detailing
These do not qualify as defects.
3. Returns / Replacement Only for Manufacturing Defects or Wrong Product Received
Returns or replacement requests will be considered only in the following cases:
Proven manufacturing defect
Product damaged prior to delivery (not transit damage caused after delivery acceptance)
Incorrect product dispatched by us
Mandatory Conditions for Claim
To be eligible, customer must:
- Report Within 24 Hours
Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, failing which the product shall be deemed accepted in good condition. - Unboxing Video Required (Mandatory)
Customer must provide:- Continuous, unedited unboxing video beginning from unopened package condition
- Video must clearly show shipping label and package opening
- Defect/damage must be visible in the video at first opening
- Supporting photographs may also be requested
Claims without valid unboxing video evidence may not be accepted.
- Product Must Be Unused
Product must be:- Unworn
- Unwashed
- Unaltered
- With tags intact
- In original packaging
4. Remedy at Our Discretion
Upon verification of a valid claim, we may, at our sole discretion:
- Replace the product, or
- Issue store credit, or
- Refund the product value (excluding shipping charges, duties or taxes, where applicable)
Refunds, if approved, shall be processed to the original payment method within applicable timelines.
5. No Exchange Policy
We do not offer exchanges for:
- Color differences perceived after delivery
- Personal dislike of product
- Fabric or texture expectations
- Material “misunderstanding” after purchase
- Preference-based reasons
- Different blouse expectations unless specifically stated
- Size or drape assumptions
Customers are advised to review product descriptions, fabric details and images carefully before purchase.
6. Handloom & Handmade Product Disclaimer
Handcrafted textiles may naturally include:
- Slubs
- Thread variations
- Slight weaving inconsistencies
- Dye or shade variations
- Minor motif irregularities
These are part of the authenticity of handmade products and are not defects.
7. Shipping and Delivery Disclaimer
Estimated delivery timelines are indicative only.
We shall not be liable for delays caused by:
- Courier partners
- Customs clearance
- Force majeure events
- Weather disruptions
- Strikes, lockdowns, governmental restrictions or events beyond reasonable control
8. Cancellation Policy
Orders once placed may not be cancelled after dispatch.
Orders involving customisation, pre-orders or made-to-order products cannot be cancelled once confirmed.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law:
Our liability is limited only to the purchase value of the product ordered.
We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including loss of profit, emotional distress, opportunity loss or third-party claims.
We shall not be responsible for misuse, improper handling, alteration, washing damage or wear-and-tear after delivery.
Product descriptions and images are provided in good faith; slight variations may occur.
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
10. Customer Responsibility
By placing an order, customer confirms they have:
- Read product descriptions carefully
- Understood handloom/handmade variations
- Reviewed dimensions, material and specifications
- Accepted this Refund & Exchange Policy
11. Fraudulent or Abusive Claims
We reserve the right to reject claims that appear:
- Fraudulent
- Abusive
- Unsupported by evidence
- Inconsistent with our inspection findings
Repeated misuse of claims process may result in refusal of future transactions.

Important Legal Note
This policy is intended to operate subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, applicable e-commerce rules, and the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Nothing in this policy seeks to waive non-waivable statutory consumer rights.
